Then and now

I thought I would post a then and now pic- Here is My first belly picture at week 11, and at week 22 wearing the same shirt- quite the difference! I'm hoping I'll still fit in this shirt at week 33 so I can have a picture in it every 11 weeks!

Catching up!

Wow- time has gotten a little away from me! Between my massive suffering of "pregnant brain" and the anticipation of us moving(I'll update with a post about this soon- Promise!) my brain just kind of shuts off by the time I get home from work! We had a great Mothers day celebrating our Moms. Breakfast and backyard time with my family and then a late afternoon BBQ with Jon's family. It was a beautiful day! The Weather here has been so great, sunshine everyday for the last week and the temps were in the high 70's this weekend and it was 80 today! I'm getting a little preview of how it will feel this summer!
Mothers Day at Jon's parents.
Ok now for the weekly belly photo update- Here is week 21,22,and 23! Our boy is definitely getting stronger in there, I can really feel his kicks and squirms and am even able to see them from the outside. Sometimes my belly looks like it might be filled with Jell-o it moves so much! We are looking forward to my Dr. Appointment this week to hear our little mans heartbeat. I think it might also be my last monthly appointment which means it wont be long before he is here! Week 23 is also the last belly picture in our apartment because this weekend we will be moving to the new house! :)
baby is about 10.5 in. long and three-quarters of a pound.
11 weeks ago we took my first belly picture in this shirt, there was no
bump then but there definitely is one now!
little man is now just over a pound(about a large mango or grapefruit)

Ultrasound pictures

Since I mentioned we had the anatomy scan ultrasound on Jon's birthday I thought I would share the pictures the tech printed out for us. Its still pretty surreal that this little baby is inside me!

My favorite picture- His little feet, although those toes are pretty long definitely
a Kincy gene! The Dr. even said they looked like little monkey toes!

Profile view- face/head in middle, chest to the right. You can
see his little heart near the center of his chest.
Looking straight at the camera!

Halfway There!

20 weeks- I cant believe we are halfway there to meeting our little boy! It still feels so surreal that I'm going to be a mommy, I've dreamed about it forever and now its finally happening! Feeling my little guy wiggling is the most amazing thing, and Jon has even felt him a few times. Seeing my belly grow more practically each day, puts such a smile on my face :) I'm trying to soak it all in because I know the next 20 weeks are going to go by so quickly!

Here is the 20 week belly pic along with a few extras since it was a special week!
banana time! baby is 10 in. head to toes and
about 10.5 oz.

Other news in week 20: This weekend was SO nice! On Sunday it was almost 80 degrees so Jon and I along with our dog Scout went downtown with my mom and our little friend Sydnee. We walked around The farmers market and down on the boardwalk to see the new park, it was so fun but by the time we were done I was so tired and sore! My feet, back and legs were wore out and I felt I was dying of thirst even though I was chugging down the water from my trusty Starbucks Tumbler(I never leave home without it!). I think I definitely got a preview as to what my summer is going to be like- I cant wait though!

Gender Reveal Party

On Jon's 24th birthday, April 9th, we had our ultrasound anatomy scan. This is when they measure the baby to make sure its growing properly, its also when you get to find out the gender of your little one. We were so excited to be able to do this on Jon's birthday because I came up with the awesome idea of doing a gender reveal via birthday cake at his party later that night. So that morning I woke up at 6:30 in order to drink 36 oz of water by 7:00 and then not be able to potty until my ultrasound at 8:15! Not my ideal! I also drank a big glass of OJ and had a banana for breakfast to ensure or little babe wasn't sleeping in a uncooperative position for the "money shot". We had the ultrasound tech not tell or show us the gender but instead write it on a paper in a sealed envelope for me to take to the bakery to make the cake either blue or pink. Later that night we would find out if we were getting a baby girl or boy...
ITS A BOY!

Here is the pic for week 19!

Belly photos!

Like I said, Jon and I have been taking fun weekly photos to track the growth of my baby belly. I cant say the idea was completely original (thanks Pinterest) but we have adapted it to make it fun and special for us. I usually, although I don't always make it to the grocery store, try to take the picture with the corresponding fruit/veggie size of the baby that week and then Jon likes to do something silly! We've been posting these on Facebook for our friends and family to see and we've quickly learned that when there is no Jon picture they get upset!

Here are our photos from the last 9 weeks- we started at week 11 since before then there was really nothing to see. Enjoy!

Baby is the size of a lime

Baby is just peachy!- Jon Don't eat the baby!

didn't make it to the store but, baby is the size of a lemon

Baby is the size of a large apple- Which is what I've been craving a lot of!

Baby is the length of an avocado- guacamole anyone?

Baby is the size of a large onion, and those rings look so good!

We took this photo on Easter Sunday- Everyone at church loved seeing that I  finally have a noticeable bump!

Obviously we are past week 19 but I'm saving that picture for another post :)

Just us almost 3

Well I feel like I'm a little behind in creating this blog as I've been debating on doing it since I found out I was pregnant and now at 20 weeks, half way done! Anyway, I'll start this off with a little introduction for those of you that don't know us...
Jon and I met in high school and dated for almost 6 years before we finally tied the knot on August 5, 2011. I love telling people I married my high school sweetheart :) Are personalities are almost completely opposite (minus that we are both red heads) but we feel we balance each other out and we cant wait to see how those differences will blend together in our little babe that will be here approx. September 4th.

Here are a few pictures from our big day- it was such a dream!

I think that'll be it for my first ever blog post- I'll be back tomorrow to update you all on our adorable(in my opinion) weekly pregnancy pictures. I cant wait to share all my crazy, first time mom, pregnancy brain babbling with all of you and I think Jon will be happy for me to tell someone else about all the baby gear and gadgets I find and obsess over for weeks!
